16th edition of Parcours céramique carougeois
On the occasion of the 16th edition of the Parcours Céramique Carougeois, Flux Laboratory will welcome from September 28th to October 6th the European Ceramic Art & Research Team (ECART) school network.
ECART is a non-standard ceramics network bringing together five European Art Schools, namely The University of Art and Design (CERCCO, Geneva), The National School of Visual Arts of La Cambre (Brussels), The National School of Art of Limoges, the School of Fine Arts of the City of Monaco (The Pavilion Bosio) and The National Art School of Nice (Villa Arson).
The network ECART, for European Ceramic Art & ResearchTeam, brings these five art colleges together to reflect on various issues questionning ceramics as an artistic medium, both in the fields of art and design. This network promotes and supports exchanges between schools as well as student and teacher mobility in order to confront changing and evolutive trends in ceramics today.
For its 4th project, the ECART school network has dedicated its collective work experience to the theme "Ceramic Architectures, from structure to ornament".This project is inspired partly by local heritage, adapting to production conditions and time constraints, thereby offering a reflection around the question of architecture and ceramics.
