Danser Brut - Le corps instrument
Lille Métropole Museum of Modern Art, Contemporary Art and Art Brut offers, in collaboration with Fluxum Foundation, a new version of its exhibition Danser Brut presented last autumn in Villeneuve-D'ascq (France). This unprecedented and transversal eye on dance, inspired by art brut, but also contemporary art and cinema, questions art work through the prism of gesture and movement.
The exhibition will strive to investigate the body’s modes of expression which can appear as enslaved, even alienated, while simultaneously also as forms of support for emancipation, for liberation. The exhibition will set out to shed light on an invisible dimension, made of gestures both ordinary and extraordinary.
