Foofwa d'Imobilité - CATA'STROPHES (International Movement)

On the occasion of the inauguration of the new Red Cross and Red Crescent International Museum in Geneva, Flux Laboratory presents, in association with the Museum, a creation by the choreographer Foofwa d'Imobilité.

CATA ' STROPHES (Mouvement International)
In the courtyard in front of the Red Cross Museum's entrance, 18 dancers mix with the satutes of The Petrified Ones. They perform a series of choreographied catastrophies : collapsing, back on your feet, collapsing again. From time to time, they regain the immobility of The Petrified Ones before returning to a continuous movement of races, cracks, rescues, battles, helps. The sounds, breathings and voices of the dancers are amplified. Stroboscopes amplify this frenetical rhythmthat and mix dramatically with the natural light.
