In residency: Alma Alba company
From October 9th to 19th, Flux Laboratory will host company Alma Alba to work on its new creation: "Heteroclite buffer memory".
"Heteroclite buffer memory" is a performance for two actors / dancers addressing the topic of in-between space; the performance takes as paradigm the buffer zone of the island of Cyprus, called by the locals "Dead Zone". This project has been invited to participate in the Buffer Fringe Performing Arts Festival in Nicosia, Cyprus, which will take place in the buffer zone of the last European capital divided in two.
The performance is an invitation to travel through image, sound and movement in a territory that belongs to no one, a non-space, a ghost-space. Inside, two heterogeneous entities roam; two bodies desperately trying to meet, to transform this space and its temporarily stored memory by establishing a rite of passage.
