Faun, faun, faun - How can one live in the world?
This piece was inspired by Nijinski’s interpretation of the figure of the Faun, and strives to redefine its contours, re-invent its story. The Faun, transposed to the anthropocene era, raises the question: "How can one live in the world?". It is also a figure of desire, of dreams and of a form of sensitivity that reconnects us to the world. The Faun, as interpreted by Nijinski, highlights the temporality of the afternoon: what happens in the afternoon? Not a business man’s kind of afternoon, running to get a ready-made salad to go with an expresso. No. An afternoon of contemplation - where the urge to live can stem spontaneously from this presence, without any ulterior objective, be it efficiency or productivity. An afternoon for a nap, a time when a bunch of grapes can be source of infinite wealth and unfolds in a time to be cherished. A time for poetry. Bunch of grapes versus espresso. LESS IS MORE
