IN RESIDENCY: BUDGE
Flux Laboratory will host Budge company in residency from December 3th to 7th to work on their new creation "In Situ".
"In Situ", mirror of a society 4.0, is a piece in social experimentation mode. A snapshot of something instantaneous. In the era of artificial intelligence and the digitalisation of relationships, Pascal Neyron’s creation questions disconnection in the face of tangibility. Of bodily realities: "We live through our smartphones. Is art, and more specifically dance, perceived differently via a digital key or through the human eye? "
Which of the physical or the virtual touches the spectator the most? To put this evolution 4.0 in perspective, the young choreographer imagined an interactive performance where the spectator has the choice between video-connected dance and "in Situ" dance.
What will he chose?
Choreographic concept: Pascal Neyron
Performers: Pauline Raineri, Esther Bach, Alfredo Gottardi
Co-production: Dansometre and l'Oriental theatre
BudGE! was born in 2015 under the artistic direction of Florine Foucault in a spirit of gathering between former dancers of the Geneva Junior Ballet and other artists of the region. The association is taken over by Pascal Neyron in 2017, who wants to develop his work through the platform while also offering support to emerging choreographers and / or independent dancers in their transition between academic and professional life.
